I couldnt check if this has already been posted because the search button was down.

I have surpassesd the Gold coin capacity on all my characters and in storage many times. This time i started to keep my money in ecto but im in fear that prices may plunge and so will my gold.

My question to Anet was will they be upgrading the storage capacity for charactors or the storage vault box. Anet answered that I should post it on forums to get other users comments and regards if they have the same issue.

Ty for all your comments in advance. Hopfully Anet will upgrade this.

One reason I've heard for ANET limiting how much gold you could store was so that it would also limit prices, keeping most of the prices reasonable for those that don't farm. They just weren't expecting people to use ecto as a trade medium once gold alone wasn't enough. So I doubt ANET will change it even if this gets a lot of support.

Also, while I've noticed ecto vary in price over time, black dye has always been between 7.5k - 9k to buy from the trader in the 8 months I've been playing.

If you have over 1 million in gold you have 2 options.
1. Buy Ectos
2. Get a hobby and quit farming!

Jeez I farmed flesh golems (which was absolutely rediculous money) for almost a month and was only at like 750k

Here's why:

The gold limit is designed to level the playing field between those who have WAAAAY too much time to spend on this game and those who do not. It prevents any one person or several persons from acquiring too much share in the GW universe. Essentially, it prevents a "real world" economy... (No Bill Gates' or Donald Trump's). Think about it: if the capacity for more gold farming was there, some people would take advantage of it.

Obviously with the insane, ludicrous prices of Fissure armor, Anet had every intention of people requiring obscene amounts of money.

Therefore, it is ridiculous to limit the amount of gold you can have in storage.

Pure BS, people have multiple accounts. As to this to people having more gold in storage or carrying more on Characters, as said multiple accounts.

Yeah, let's raise the bar so that greedy/bored people can hoarde more than the already thousands of platinum they already do. Why do you need to be able to hold more? If you've filled the storage and all your characters with money you obviously aren't spending what you have anyway.

raise to 5mill or something thats reasonable..

1mill can be made in a single trade if u have the knowledge and luck..of course ecto's but ecto is unstable at best

invest in weapons - nah, Anet screwed ppl like me over when they increased the shield stats ect + the increasing amount of greens being added is alarming also

stop farming - nope, not much else to do for non pvp ppl

something needs to be done..cant see it happening tho

this will only split between rich/poor

rich say yes
poor say no

Acca expressed my feelings exactly. Either spend it or perhaps do something else besides farm? So many games I don't have time to play and these people want more money storage

bots give out price in chat, thats how most of the community goes off prices. if you see Stupid Sword going for 56k, no one will buy it for 500k....he ebayed money

I don't get all the people who say they make trades of one item for over 500k. I've never been able to make a trade like that and even with rare skinned perfect items. o_O

But com'n the rich would just keep getting richer until the economy depended more so on them then anything else. I could just imagine "Finally the black dye prices are dropping from 20k! Apparently theres a new fad with pink combo dyes."
